Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress who has been praised for her roles as lead actress in numerous television series and also for her powerful performance in films. Her work is well-known on both Canadian as well as American Television. Emily's passion for acting started when, at age 12 she was visiting their sister Katie who was shooting one of Katie's movies. Once she discovered her passion for the acting world, Emily enrolled in classes to learn about it and started auditioning. After several commercials that were successful, she was quickly cast in the Canadian Kids' Horror TV series Are You scared of the Dark? The show had one episode that she didn't speak. When she was 15 years old, Emily got her first big break after she became an actor on the WB series Glory Days. Emily's character caught Greg Berlanti's eye, even though the show ended with just nine episode. Greg Berlanti cast Emily as a regular in Everwood. Emily was a professional dancer, and was also a photographer. Teen listed her as the number one actress in her 20s. Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked Emily at 51.
