Following her studies at Brown University for a while before transferring to Juilliard School to study acting. Within a mere two years after graduation she began her Broadway-based career. Following that, she made her debut in TV and film. Since then, she has appeared appearing in a variety of films, TV productions and stage shows. Her achievements have been numerous during her professional career, which included several Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. However, despite all the nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for theatre remains constant, as she still performs as a stage performer and screen.
